AI Project Builder
What is AI Project Builder?
Upload a project folder and get a draft case study built from what is actually in it.
AI Project Builder takes an engineering project folder — CAD, reports, spreadsheets, screenshots, revisions, duplicates, whatever is in there — and turns it into a draft Provenfolio case study. You do not need to tidy the folder, rename anything, or decide in advance which files matter.
It is not a writing tool pointed at your files. Before any text is written, Provenfolio reads the files themselves: STEP headers and assembly structure, mesh geometry, the text of PDFs and Word documents, spreadsheet sheet names and column headers, image dimensions and capture dates. The draft is written from those findings.
What happens, in order
- Your files are uploaded to a private area. Nothing is published at any point in this process.
- Every file is classified. System noise is skipped, formats we can read are opened, formats we recognise but cannot parse are indexed by name, folder and size.
- Revision chains and duplicate files are detected, so seven versions of one bracket are recognised as one part with a history rather than seven separate components.
- A manageable number of the most useful files are analysed in detail. The rest are still known about and still listed.
- A draft is written, and every section names the files it was drawn from.
- You review it, answer a few questions if you want to, choose which files to keep, and it becomes a private draft project in the normal editor.
It is always a draft
A generated project is created as a private draft, every time, with no option to skip that. It appears in your project list marked as a draft and is not reachable by anyone else until you publish it yourself, using the same control every other project uses.
